Audrey Bridal Shower and Wedding

We have awesome neighbors who have become family in the short amount of time we have lived here, they are the Roesner family. Our friendship began when Lisa Roesner helped represent us when buying our house but I quickly learned whenever I needed something or someone that she was always willing to help out. I am grateful for that. But, the true way we went from neighbors to family was Brent. The Roesner family loves babies and with Brent being one, the friendship naturally grew.  We call the Roesners Brent's second family because he spends so much time there and is spoiled the whole time. In March I threw Audrey's bridal shower and a few weeks later we were invited.to the small ceremony up in the mountains of Sedona.  We had never been to Sedona and it was the perfect way to have our first visit! Actually, except for how cold it was! We all froze! Ha.

The Shower

Christy loves the idea of love, being engaged, marriage, weddings, etc and was very excited for Audrey's shower. She picked out a her "best" dress, princess shoes, and her glass cup from my mom that says, "Christy" on it.
Side note: When my mom was younger and went to Disneyland she found a place setting that she loved but couldn't find her name so she bought a set that said "Christy." Years later she came across it and obviously had to give it to our Christy girl. So crazy and fun!

With Coronavirus shutting the state down we were worried we might not have a good turnout but we were happy with it. Not all guests are in this photo.

The Wedding

Christy fell asleep on the way to Sedona. Audrey and Melissa Roesner had recently given her all of their old hair bows and flowers and Christy was adorned herself in them every day. Here are just a few she put in her hair before she fell asleep.

I thought the red rock was so pretty!

Lisa is so creative!
Obviosouly my kids loved the "fighting sticks". I finally threw them out a few weeks ago because Brent kept hitting with them when play fighting and they actually really hurt to be hit with.

Ayn’s Baby Shower

After all of the baby showers Ayn and I have done together, we finally got to have one for her! Mallory, Tara, Shelby and I all came together and I think it was one of the best parties we've done yet! Alicia and Catherine also helped with food, many hands make for light work :)

The only bad part of the story is that Ayn and Bryce moved to Utah a few weeks before the shower! I am so sad! We have been near each other since Jeff's second year of dental school (PA, CO, AZ). I'm not sure how I'll function socially without her!

Melissa's Wedding Reception

With Coronavirus making life so crazy, my sister in law Kristina needed a place to have her sister Melissa's wedding reception. I told her they were more than welcome to use our front rooms and that is what they did.

All the bride's maids had name tags. Such a cute idea!

Jacqueline's Baby Sprinkle

Jeff's cousin Emily needed help throwing a baby sprinkle for her friend Jacqueline. I told her I was more than willing to help out. Jacqueline's teenage daughters thought we were being boring old ladies by just sitting down and talking so every once in awhile they'd come down stairs after googling a game and have us play it. It was a lot of fun. Another person was in charge of the food so that took that off my plate. Other than the wrinkled tablecloths everything turned out great. Emily choose the theme "over the moon for baby Trevor."

The game here was to swaddle and change the doll's diaper the fastest. There was a tie between Emily and one of the other guests. Christy just wanted to be in the photo.

Christy brought her Christmas slippers in case she fell asleep on the car ride home. Silly girl.

Saw this Toy Story scene on the car in front of me. Thought it was funny.
