Baby Shower #2: She's About to Pop

She's About to Pop!

With the help of some friends, I threw a baby shower for my friend Hillary Anderson. The theme was: She's About to Pop. The theme worked out great because it was gender neutral (Hillary isn't finding out the sex of the baby before her delivery).

We had lots of yummy treats and played two games. The first game we did was Scattergories. We used the letters H(for Hillary), B (for baby), and P (for pop). The next game we did went along with the theme a bit better. Everyone was given two pieces of bubble gum, the super hard kind to chew and whoever blew the first bubble won the game. It was pretty funny to watch. Everyone thought it would be super easy, but they didn't realize I got the hard to chew bubble gum. It took a few minutes but eventually someone won.

Overall, it was a great day. A little bit stressful because I had been sick the two prior weeks, but everything got done so you can call it a success.

There were a few more people but we didn't do the group photo till the end.

A Little Monkey Business

Along with my friend Jill, I hosted a group baby shower for some friends who were having non-first babies. Does that make sense? Meaning, it wasn't the first baby for any of them. The theme was "A Little Monkey Business." We had banana splits and played the game Telestrations, which we discovered one bad drawer (me) could throw the whole game off *. We had some good laughs playing the game! Another fun night with the gals!

* We had to have one person sit out while playing Telestrations because there were not enough game boards and so I sat out the first few rounds. In those first few rounds, the girls got all of the answers correct. I couldn't believe it; I had never had that happen before. Then someone else volunteered to sit out so I could play a few rounds. The game changed immediately. I am so bad at drawing!! For one of the pictures I was supposed to draw a frog. I can't draw a frog! But I did my best. The next person, Kirstin, guess that what I drew was  "police worm". A police worm?! What the heck even is that?! Lol. She said, "I don't know! It just looked like a worm with a police hat on so I gave it the office title of 'police worm'". It was hilarious.

The Slide

This is part of a family group text. I sent Jeff's family a funny and sad video of Tyler on the slide. He was loving the slide so much that I decided to film it. Only, the time I did, he got too much speed and flew off the slide. In the video I am laughing and then decide I should turn off the camera and help him up. This was the response I got from Jeff and David.

This is what Jeff sent me a few weeks later:
