Tyler Moments Fall 2016

I spent a few hours writing this post a few days ago and the original got deleted. I am having to tell myself it isn't the end of the world, but it really is frustrating. So here goes based off of memory and deleted texts (TM for those):

August
-We drove a lot the last bit of summer. Poor Tyler, one morning of driving I told him it was going to be a long drive that day. He said, "No, no thank you."
-Ever since we got back from Visalia this summer where Jeff and Blaine did water skiing, Tyler has turned everything into a water ski. His favorite is the George Foreman grease catcher:

The culprit of my soaking wet bathroom floor.

September
-I have been packing for our move:

Make that, WE have been packing for our move. Tyler either adds stuff to my boxes or takes things out, both very unproductive in the packing process.

Next time I have to make room for these in my bed at 5 in the morning, they are going in the trash!
-Jeff has been playing a new game called "Pokemon Go", or "Poke-e-On" as Tyler calls it. Tyler has really been into it so I let him watch and episode of Pokemon on Netflix. Next thing I know, he is using his ball to "catch" me. My friend thought that was hilarious and asked if I let him catch me. I told her no; that would not go over well with other kids. I told him he could not catch people, he could only catch Squirttle:

Presenting Squirttle

October
-Tyler reads our Halloween sign as "Happy Birthday Halloween."
-He has also asked to go Trick or Treating a few more times since Halloween.
-He still talks about the costumes that scared him on Halloween, he refers to them as being "mad."
-He thinks the song "Monster Mash" says, "We make a mess."
-Tyler made a pile of wood chips at the park and was jumping on them. He made a pile for this little girl also at the park. He said, "I made a pile for you. Do mine! Do mine now!" Needless to say, she didn't jump. Later on, he put some wood chips on a little table and she kept taking them off. He said, "I said yes, girl!" He is very bossy. Eventually he started calling her "Tuda" because she kept saying that. He said, "Hi Tuda!" I asked the mother what that word meant and she said it meant "this way".
I just let him continue to call her Tuda.
-Tyler likes to be in his room for three minutes after he goes down for a nap and say, "I woke up."
-Tyler decorated a pumpkin at Lowes with Jeff and was allowed to pick out two toys, one big one and one little one. And what did he come back with? A 25 cent ball! I told Jeff that he should have made Tyler get a big toy. Jeff said that he wanted Tyler to pick out his own toy. I said that Tyler doesn't get to pick if he makes wrong decisions. But to be honest, Tyler does love that ball.
-He still loves to say "Shake yo booty, sorry Charlie, hit the road Jack ___" and insert a person's name or phrase that does actually make sense. Jeff has started to call Tyler "SYB" boy.
-Sometimes when I change his diaper he turns around, dances and says, "wiggle wiggle" or "shake yo booty."
-Tyler to Jeff: Listen, listen a me. It's time to listen a me. That's enough daddy! I tell you listen!"
-He is turning into a boy. Unfortunately, he now has bathroom humor. He sings, "Happy birthday poopoo" or "I tooted in my seat (car seat), I tooted on the toilet, I tooted, I tooted...". He also likes to tell you what he is going to do when go he goes potty, "I just gotta do poopoo and toots Momma, ok? Just poopoo and toots." He tooted one morning and I told him to say excuse me. He said," No say excuse me poopoo toots, only mouth toots." Mouth toots are presumable burps.
-I told him good job on putting a puzzle together and he said, "I did it on purpose. Thank you."
-A Jehovah's Witness gave us a pamphlet on Jesus Christ. Tyler heard "Jesus Christ" and said "amen" to them.

He added the hat and gloves to his Sunday outfit.
I wonder...
what he is up to? And if he knows he shouldn't be up to it?!
Heading to zumba. Tyler wore his "exercise headband" like momma.
Tyler likes to eat his "dog treats."
November
-Tyler to himself while coloring: Man, I good at this!
-Also while coloring: Whoohoo! I did it, yay Tyler! Yay Tyler! (Apparently he is very confident in his coloring abilities).
-Jeff does this "old lady" voice and says, "Excuse me sonny." Tyler likes to copy and say it too, only he does this deep and odd voice. One time, in the deep voice he said, "I mean. I a creepy boy!"
-Tyler about Jeff: I gotta pester him SO hard!
-He copies Jeff saying "Jeez man" over disappointing sports plays. Only Tyler says, "Cheese man!"
-I just ate one of Tyler's snacks. He said, "Hey, what are you eating?" I said, "Nothing." He said, "Say 'ahh'" and opened his mouth. My mom said when I was little I would tell her, "Let me smell your breath."
-My neighbor commented how I carry Tyler even though Tyler can walk. I explained that I carry Tyler not because I want to, but because he doesn't have "walking privileges", meaning he doesn't listen and obey well enough to walk beside me. But as I get further along with this pregnancy I have realized I really shouldn't be carrying him anymore. So, I have told him that the doctor says I cannot carry him anymore because of my tummy. The other day when I told him we were going to the doctor so she could look at my tummy he said that she was going to fix my tummy so I could carry him. I told her this at the appointment. She told Tyler that he was a big kid now and needed to just hold my hand at the store and that I could not carry him anymore. When were driving home from the appointment he started talking about how we didn't need a cart at the store. I told him we weren't going to the store, that we were going home. He said, "No! The doctor said we gotta go to the store and you hold my hand!" I told him that the doctor said we had to go to the store on Tuesday and that today was Friday. That did the trick.
-Tyler says the baby Kristy (however we end up spelling it) is coming at 6.
-He copies his friend Oliver and asks "what time it is" multiple times a day. I am now going to start saying "Twenty" since that is the answer he wants it to be every time.
-He saw Christmas lights and told me that Christmas he gets presents (no clue how he remembers that) and then Kristy comes home and he comes home too. He also talked about her using her baby bathtub our neighbor gave us a few weeks ago.
-I wanted to get out the door to the gym so I told him to just put on his sandals. He said no and insisted on his "gym shoes" (his tennis shoes). He took forever attempting to get them on and then finally let me put them on him. When we were done he was so proud, he said, "Bye dad! I got my gym shoes! You got your gym shoes? Ok bye!"
-He is very excited to wear his winter hat and gloves when it snows.
-Today he crawled form one side of me to the other and proclaimed he had gotten over the mountain. Rude!
-Tyler is a dumpster diver like his momma! We walked by the dumpster and he saw these two mental pieces and said, "Oh, I gotta take these home and fix them."
-He has two friends named Claire. He calls one "Claire" and the second, "other Claire." The funny thing is, "Other Claire" is the one we see almost every day. Well yesterday I decided I wanted to not have "other Claire" be "other Claire" so I told him that "Claire" was "Claire B", her last name is Brimhall. When we got to the park a little later he said, "I don't see bumble bee Claire!" And then he started calling her "Bee Claire." I decided "Claire" and "other Claire" were just fine. Lol.
-"Bumble Bee Claire" wants to name her future baby brother "Flower Fruit."
-He calls "muddy buddies" "somebodies".
-Tonight in his prayers he said he was thankful we got two new cereals.
-Tonight he was singing, "Lead me, guide me, help me fly away..."  (A Child of God). Must be a tricky song because Ana used to sing it "and so my knees are great" and called it the song about legs.
-Today, November 17th it snowed. Jeff and I are devastated but Tyler is thrilled. He wants to play "snowman catch" (throw snowballs we think), make a snowman with two arms, insists on wearing his winter gloves and hat, continually asks if there is snow outside, and sings "melted, melted"(Once There Was a Snowman).

Well, that's all for now folks!

Spywork

Tyler has a good friend named Kent. One day Kent's mom, Lisa, overheard Kent and his sister talking about how to be a spy. Here was what they came up with:

1. Be quiet
2. Sneak
3. Hide
4. Don't fart
5. Have a scarf
6. Have a notebook

Pretty good I think!
