Flying to Tahoe

Flying with a kid is so hard! It is always hit or miss. I am so grateful whenever I sit near kind people on my flights. This particular flight an older gentleman was so sweet to Tyler...

What happens when I am away...

While I was at young women's, Jeff told me how his night with Tyler went. First, he sent me this picture:

Sounds like me being gone every Tuesday night could be trouble. Just kidding!

The Crime Scene

The best part is that Tyler was eating the tortellini, something he wouldn't do at dinner time. He just threw the tortellini on the floor when I gave it to him. Oh well.

Ps. In order to prevent Tyler from messing with the stove top dials I got covers for them...

Ya, didn't work....

Eye of the TYger

Tyler and I went to the Family Fun Day at Overland High School. I love how many activities Aurora puts on. It was super, super hot but I am still glad we went. I can't wait till Tyler is old enough to go into the bounce houses, I think he will really enjoy them. He liked watching the Zumba demonstrations on stage. At the end of the event they gave everyone a bag of groceries. There were about four or five things in the bag that I was going to go to the store that same day and get!

Phase One: Orange base

Phase Two: Black Stripes

Phase Three: White details. Never made it.

I thought the Tiger was perfect because he just learned a day prior what noise the Tiger makes. That, and it was one of like five choices. Overall, he sat pretty long for the face painting. He kept trying to eat the paint brush though. So she switched to a paint pad/gauze. He tried to eat that too. So, she switched to her finger. He tried to eat that too. After that, we gave up. I don't blame him though, it was bright colored stuff going right around his mouth!

Love
By the end of the event he was hot, tired, and cranky. Frankly, so was I. As I was putting him in his carseat he kept fighting me and arching his back so I couldn't strap him in. We have a mirror in front of his seat so we can see his face as we are driving. In the middle of his arching, he caught a glimpse of his painted face and his body went limp. He couldn't figure out what the heck was on his face. I quickly strapped him in and that was the end of that hissy fit!
Ps. Ellen came up with "Eye of the TYger". Don't want to steal her creativeness.

Hammond's Candy Factory

Tyler and I went to the Hammond's candy factory with my friend Ellen and the kids she nannies. It was a fun little tour and the kids she nannies are so cute! Thanks for introducing us to the factory Ellen!
