February Utah Trip

Sadly, my Aunt Rebecca Niderhauser has been diagnosed with ALS. Aunt Rebecca has always been one of my favorite people. She is funny and kind. She could make friends with a green bean. It is hard to see her have to go through this trial. I love her and my Uncle Alan so much. I pray and think of them often. It is hard to think of what lies ahead for them.

Because of this situation, my family has decided to go and visit my Aunt Rebecca every few months. On this trip we decided to do things around the house to make life easier for the for my aunt and her family. It was a busy but nice trip. We were able to bake and freeze muffins for my Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Alan to use as a quick on the go breakfast. We also made and froze dinners for them. I learned a new yummy cream cheese, chicken enchilada dish. We also cleaned out an upstairs bedroom that was full of boxes because they had recently had their upstairs bathroom and master bedroom remodeled.

My cousin Barbara aka "The Queen Cousin" came from Oregon. I hadn't seen Barbara since my grandma had when I was in 8th grade. I also got to see my Aunt Lori, who I also hadn't seen in four or five years. Overall, it was nice to have the time together as a family and to be able to help my Aunt Rebecca and Uncle Alan. I love you guys!

I think he liked his borrowed PacNPlay.
Naughty little boy got into the Corn Pops cereal. He looks real sorry, can't you tell?
After awhile I noticed he was crawling around with a corn pop stuck on his ankle.
He has always loved the camera.
Carolyn came to visit

I found this shirt on sale at a store when I was there; Carolyn always says "Ain't nobody got time for that," so I had to buy it for her of course!
Jenn came the next day but Tyler hadn't taken a nap so he was a bit cranky.

Best donuts! They were huge and only fifty cents a piece after 7 pm!
More nap time. All twisted up!
Meeting Aunt Lori for the first time.
This was funny because all during the trip my mom asked Tyler for a kiss but he would't give her one. Then without  being asked, he gave my Aunt Lori one as we were taking pictures! Grandma was not happy but Aunt Lori sure was!

Second from the right is my great Aunt Doreen. I had only ever met her once before this dinner. She was having trouble getting her salad dressing out of the bottle so I gave her a few tips, and the advice to be careful not to pour too much because the lid didn't have a small circle for the dressing to come out of, thus chancing a huge glob of dressing coming out at once. She tried and tried to smack the dressing out of the bottle but had no luck so she put the bottle down. I noticed this and wanted to help. I squeezed the bottle and POOF! The dressing went flying onto her plate, onto her sweater, onto my Aunt Rebecca's shirt and hair, and the table! Last time I help out, although, it did make for a good laugh.

All smiles at the dinner table.

Tyler liked FaceTime with his daddy.
Make that, LOVED FaceTime with his daddy!

I think he is ready for the "Happiest Place on Earth", don't you?

Just putting the scooter back where it needed to go....
Emma enjoyed the snow.
Tyler loved Aunt Rebecca's wheelchair and all of its buttons. In the middle of Sunday school he pushed a knob that make her jerk forward. I immediately pulled him away from her. I just envisioned her flying forward into the front of the room. I said, "That scared me!" Aunt Rebecca laughed and said, "Me too!"

Back home in Colorado. All tuckered out!
