December 2016 Happenings

Black Friday

Played with Dad's new Rockband game

Set up for Christmas

Played with "the farm" aka The Manger

Tyler fed Rudolph Strawberries
He was allowed to eat some of the strawberries but I was not, and I am the one who washed and cut them!

Haircut

Tyler got a haircut. Took three people, treats, and a smart phone to accomplish.
A little uneven, but no more hair over his shirt collars.

 The Ward Christmas Party

Tyler was all talk when it came to Santa, just as we had expected. He had all these things he was going to show and tell Santa; he wanted to show Santa his new book and ask Santa for Paw Patrol toys. But, when Santa came out, he wanted nothing to do with him and called him yucky. He asked if Santa was going to bring him toys that night and when I told him no, he said then he didn't want to see Santa. I said Santa would give him a candy cane though and he agreed to see him. I told him that he could have the candy cane and dessert if he took a picture with Santa. So, he went up to Santa, yanked the candy cane from him and ran off.
I did manage to get him to take a picture with Santa by standing between him and Santa.

Later on Tyler asked for dessert and when I said he didn't really take a picture with Santa he said, "Yes I did, I took lots of them!" When helping Tyler with his prayers that night I said, "We are thankful we saw Santa" and Tyler added, "and I don't like him."

Watching Santa come out.

Jeff won the "dad wrap" contest!
He said the trick was to not try very hard.

Tyler joined the primary kids in singing and signing Christmas songs. He just looked up at the kids next to him and copied their moves.

Christmas Play date Potluck

Ya, should have taken a picture in the beginning and not the end.

The Snow and Cold Came

Gingerbread Houses

Marlo and Tyler ate lots of candy while waiting for their parents to build the gingerbread houses. Poor kids, it took us parents  forever to make them! By the time we were ready for the kids to decorate, they were over it. All they wanted to do was eat the candy anyways.

Left- Guymon's "Temple" House (complete with a fountain that Tyler wanted to copy).
Right- our ambitious but sturdy house Jeff constructed. Way to go Jeff!

 A Baby

Christmas

Treats for Santa and his Reindeer.

Tyler's Stocking
Dad's Stocking
Mom's Stocking
One of his favorite Presents was a pair of Paw Patrol Roller Skates Grandma got him.

And A Visit From Grandma
